Hello there, my name is Elvin Adamez and this a presentation of my projects for DD114-digital-illustration, some of this projects have made me explore different methods on how to achieve them, the theme that i have follow for this semester in this class has been mythology, with a focus on Japanese mythology ,the reason behind this is that in this semester i was taking a Japanese language course, in a way i was using my designs as a path to connect more with the Japanese language.

 The first projects consisted on sketching 36 designs and after that we had to digitize them.

The main focus for the first project are flowers, the reasoning of my choosing is because my grandmother used to have a garden full of them as i was growing up, this project is some sort of memorial for her and her passion for flowers that's has stick with me even after her passing, although i don't think she had that much variety of flower on her garden.

The second project was to create a pattern, as i stated above my focus on this semester was mythology and in this project the subjects where Susano, Sukiyomi and Amaterasu,the pattern itself was later place on a mockup of a building.

The third project was to create an illustrated word, and following my theme i used the word myths and making each word some sort on mythological creature or place.

The fourth project was an editorial illustration, this one was based on an article about Taylor swift, my focus was the bracelets that some fans of the singer exchange at her concerts. the illustration was later place on a mockup to give the idea of how it would look if the illustration was printed .

The fifth project was to create a poster that might encourage someone to visit a country, my choice was Thailand, the reason of my choice its because i want to visit Thailand on the future and go the buddha, since i am i Buddhist myself being able to see one of the biggest representation on the god i follow its a dream come true. 

The final project was to create a subway illustration, i illustrated tall buildings and following my theme i also place some mythological creatures close to those buildings. this was also place on a mockup to give the idea of how it would look in the train.

This semester has being a little complicated for me, but doing some of this projects where really fun to do especially when i was able to put my own style into the design itself.

i hope in the future i can use my won stile to create project like this .
