My two best friends gave me a challenge for their birthday. They requested that I paint a painting for each of them as birthday gifts. I don't have that much experience with paint canvases, but I had a free rein to decide what the painting should look like. I decided to go with idyllic forrest paintings. Now as a amateur and novice, I looked for inspiration and guides from painting videos.
For one of my friends I painted winter in the forrest. I thought the colour palette would suit to her personality well, and the red colour was a great contrast to the cold background. She loved it!
My other friend is what I would described to be very grounded and she loves colours, so I wanted to combine forrest colours in the summer with a warm radiance. She loved it!
