For this assignment, we had to create a vote poster with any topic of our choosing. It was created around the 2022 midterm elections, as such I decided on the topic of women's rights and the ropes that bind them. This was inspired by Roe v. Wade being overturned, which was very recent. For this design, I decided to implement the idea of the marionette doll with the scissors held in her hand to represent her desire for freedom. I wanted to show a woman struggling against these ropes and to push both herself and others to take a stand and vote for what they believe in.
