The project is inspired by the board game Monopoly of Lizzie Magie. I would like to come up with the idea that can deliver the real image of my favorite city in Vietnam. Therefore, the redesign of the game is named as Tỷ Phú Sài Gòn (Saigon Billionaires), and its major theme is in the context of Saigon City in 1990s. The laguage used in this version is totally Vietnamese.
In order to bring as much real and familiar feelings as possible, the game board and cards used in this game are inspired by several objects in real life, too. For example, each space in the game board is designed based on some familiar guide signs on the street like ahead only (for Start Area), residential area (for Lands), parking lot, bus station etc.
Similarly, real lottery tickets, lotto tickets and title deeds are chosen to design the Chance, Community Chest, and Title Deed cards, respectively.
Besides, the colors of money cards are partially chosen according to the colors of Vietnamese cash in the 1990s.
