This was one of my first time I used AI, as an experiment, that I introduced into my workflow. I had really didn't visualize what it would produce, I jut knew what I wanted to materialize in my head. Needless to say- I was blown away by the results. It took some time to get it there in the end.
Event Promotion Objective-
This project needed to have the main headliner Josh Wink as the highlight. The promotion production company branding image needed to have a space theme as the art direction. So we combined the two and came up with this first design. The client loved it as well as Josh and his representing company. We did two more designs on that theme.
Production Overview-
We had the space theme as the starting point, but didn't have a direct face photo for Josh. We fed the photos that we had into an AI image generator to help create one. With some trial and error we came up with something that we liked. We then thought to have John as an astronaut. Even tho it failed to produce one single image with both, the AI was able to create a straight shot the upper part of an astronaut's spacesuit. The rest was composited in Photoshop.
