My senior degree project has been a culmination of my design education. Cuba Libre showcased me as a designer and as a Cuban-American citizen. This project consisted of 118 eight by eight inch foam core squares. The squares contained timeline information, photographs of Cuba, poems from exiled citizens, portraits of Cuban citizens, propoganda inspired posters, and personal family photographs. Each square and print were individually cut and mounted over a five week time span. Although time consuming and tedious, this project has been proven to be the most rewarding piece I have ever completed.
