NUMBER OF URBAN-TYPE SETTLEMENTS IN UKRAINE In three months, the law on de-Sovietization of the administrative-territorial structure will come into force, and such an element as an urban-type settlement will be changed in accordance with the population size.
This will apply to 881 settlements, some of which will become cities and some villages. Historically, there have been about 5 different types of settlements in Ukraine. This is another step towards decolonization.
