Banshiki Restaurant
The Banshiki restaurant is situated within the historic urban bathhouse building on Degtyarnaya Street. The logo draws inspiration from classical antiqua fonts, reflecting the interior and menu concept of the “Banshchiki” restaurant. The foundation of the menu is home-cooked cuisine, reminiscent of the historical era of the mid-20th century but with a modern twist, characterized by resourcefulness driven by total scarcity and the ingenuity of homemakers. Inspiration was drawn from old newspapers and photographs from the 1952 book “On Delicious and Healthy Food”. This style, rethought, is reflected across the menu, packaging, welcome book, placemats, illustrations, street menu, print materials and identity.
