The genre of haiku is very dear to me, because complete worlds and emotional storms
are condensed into three short lines, which is very exciting to explore in visual form.
In order to appeal to adult readers, I've made linocuts to get an icy texture that captures
a foreboding feeling. This harsh, terrifying feeling emerges from the lines of the poem, which is deepened by the red comb in the pale hand and the digitally drawn, frayed hair, which evokes the dead female figure of the poem.
