Challenge
The client turned to us for help with figuring out what causes the problems below and how to solve them:
The client’s key business goals were to increase the number of videos submitted to the platform by creators, as well as increase the number of purchased video licenses.    

Netguru’s task was to redesign ViralHog’s existing web application with these goals in mind, and with a mobile-first focus. The goal was to ensure a clear, user-friendly and consistent experience in line with current industry standards and best practices.   

Discovery & Key insights
At the start of the redesign process, we conducted an in-depth UX review of the platform to uncover current usability issues. As part of the review, we completed a heuristic evaluation and cognitive walkthrough. ​​​​​​​

Define
Based on the UX review, Google analytics and stakeholder interview insights as well as secondary user research findings (online reviews and forums) we identified 2 main user types and defined proto personas. Once we put ourselves in our users’ shoes we were able to better understand the problems they faced on the platform: 
Hypothesis:
By redesigning key user flows to simplify long, confusing, complex processes and by introducing automation, we can prevent users from churning. 
Hypothesis:
Visually redesigning the website so that it looks and feels professional and current will increase user trust, motivation and engagement.  

Deliver
We reviewed the existing user flows and proposed functional changes to simplify processes and create an experience more in line with user expectations. We worked very closely with the stakeholders to ensure that the new flows are not only user-friendly but also in line with ViralHog's business strategy. ​​​​​​​

Solution
We introduced a number of improvements and a new visual style in order to enhance the platform's user experience and delight ViralHog users.
