Another exciting Layout come to our desk, and as usual a very challenging one! The story is about when you have many friends there will be many helps. The problem arise when we got the news that this type of apartment is nowhere to be found in Greater Jakarta Area, and secondly we have a very limited timeline :) So let's get it on!

With the exact location is nowhere to be found in our area, there will be two option to execute this Layout, first is by making it in the CGI, but after we discussed it with our internal production team, apparently there will be not enough time. As in CGI workflow the model creating, texturing, and lighting process of a CGI and the post-process of re-composing and grading will be very extensive and time consuming. it's very not suitable for this project at that time. So the other way around is the crazier one, which is to create the set in full-size. The final decision : we went with the crazier one :)

Here is our initial step on making the biggest set that ever built on our company's history so far. it's height reach 6 meter and total height reach 8 meters with built area can reach 150 m2. And we only have time to built them in less than 4 days.

After 3 days of sleepless night, the "apartment" starting to take shape. with the doors already installed and it's time for the lighting crew to install the extensive lighting equipments to lit the set. On the right side we also can see the camera position put way above the ceiling using the longest "Jimmy Jib" that we can hire in the city to produce the angle that the Layout needs.  

The problem in building the set in full size is in the detailings, just like the sayings " the devils are in the details". To make the set believable to the audience we need to make it as real as possible with the finishing and little accesories. It feels like we have built a real apartment in just a mere 3,5 days. 

Here we can see the massiveness of the set seen from below. We're already told you it's the biggest set that we ever built on so far for a photo shoot and we'll be looking forward to break this record in the future ( we'll keep our finger-crossed ) :) 

And here comes the photoshoot process, it takes almost 24 hours to get this job's done. As we need to shoot every floor differently to match the perspective when we want to extend the apartment into a multi-floor one. 

And here is the Final Image of the photoshoot, it was composed beautifully by Mr. Pohin from a1000eyes, an international acclaimed digital artist which based in Bandung area. A very great experience to work with such a very talented and humble person.
