CC2221 PSA Poster: Obesity Awareness
I was given a task to design a PSA Poster on Obesity Awareness to be used/uploaded in Instagram. The focus should be on promoting awareness and healthy behaviors positively.
The colour scheme that is used for the post made is red and mustard yellow which is inspired by the McDonald's color pallete. So why do I choose McDonald's concept? Although unhealthy food are everywhere, McDonald's however are the most known merchandise by the Bruneians and the whole world. It is easier to convey this awareness inspiring this fast food restaurant. I have chose burger for the highlight of this poster where an obese person tried to lift the burger from in-between to display the urge to fight the burger/to fight obesity. Below the illustration shows how to avoid obesity while the next post shows "Don't lose" because it can lead to unwanted types of illness and diseases as stated below the illustration.

BRUNEI RANKED 2ND HIGHEST OBESITY RATE IN SOUTH-EAST ASIA
Brunei Darussalam has the second highest obese population in South-East Asia of 14.1 per cent with an average body mass index (BMI) of 27.0 kilogrammes per square metre (kg/m2) based on the World Population Review 2023
The proportion of obese adults in Brunei is expected to increase by an average of 4.2 per cent a year between 2020 and 2035, to an alarming 33 per cent.
Rates in children are forecast to grow by 4.4 per cent per year over this period, to more than 40 per cent, according to a new The World Obesity Atlas 2023 analysis by the World Obesity Federation.
Overweight and obesity are likely to impact the nation’s gross domestic product (GDP) by 2.2 per cent.
