The Household Words
The Household Words Publishing - Independent Publisher of Forgotten Literature - defied the times and created an illustrated literary Journal called “The Household Words”. The name was birthed from two literary sources: the eponymous magazine that Charles Dickens edited from 1850 to 1859, and the line from Act IV, Scene III of William Shakespeare’s Henry V that inspired it.
The Household Words Journal is dedicated to nineteenth-century literature, especially 'forgotten' literature that deserves to be better known. The purpose of the Journal is to please the eyes and minds of readers. Isn't that enough?
And here is the first issue. I am directly related to this, since I was a designer: I prepared a layout, drew a hat, headlines, initial letters, wrote calligraphy and prepared a number for printing.
The magazine will be published quarterly; each issue will focus on a specific topic and will be available exclusively in print (in the old style, as Dickens' magazine of the same name).
