Pounamu is the Maori word for New Zealand greenstone or jade. Ngai Tahu are the South Island tribe who have the exclusive rights to all Pounamu. This website is an upgrade from a previous website and its function is to provide autenication that an artwork is made of real New Zealand Pounamu and it also sells work by Ngai Tahu carvers.
