Ogilvy & Mather South Africa Induction Box

Packaging
The Induction Box.

Tasked to package a few induction items, including "The Eternal Pursuit of Unhappiness", we took it a step further and asked how do we get new employees to actually read the book and take note of Ogilvy’s rich heritage? Our answer - make it tangible. Inspired by the book and a collection of David Ogilvy quotes, the Ogilvy Induction Box is a visual representation of the 8 creative habits as outlined in "The Eternal Pursuit of Unhappiness". Each element represents one of the habits and is accompanied by a phrase elaborating on this thought.
Rules for using this box:
Rule 1. There are no rules.
Rule 2. Never forget rule one.
Beneath journal:
Idealism makes us believe that we can change the world. And then we do.

Beneath blue-print map of the building:
Have the
courage to go forth and blaze new trails.

Beneath origami instructions:
Have the
persistence to make things happen and never give in. Never. Never. Never. Never.

Beneath pencil:

Candour is standing up for what you believe in. Make your mark.

Beneath slinky:

Playfulness is distracting the right-brain every now and again and coming to work in pyjamas.

Beneath USB:
It is only when we open ourselves to
curiosity that we explore and dream.
