The "Pox" for the ancient Maya was medicine for the soul.

In Tsotsil and Tseltal, the word Pox means "medicine, healing".




Its origins in Mayan culture, it is used by traditional therapists among
the Tseltal and Tsotsilpeople of Chiapas during religious rites and ceremonies.
