OPUS VII Gallery Installation

OPUS VII Gallery Exhibit
Environment Graphic Design
This installation was done as cheaply as possible with materials we had on hand or could order quickly. We had 8 weeks to complete it in and finished on time and under budget.

One of the key elements was to keep it from feeling like a giant sales pitch for Ziba, while still looking professional and holding the interest of the target market. (College town gallery-goers.)
The intro question wall included a hand coded LED readerboard. (Toothbrush, radio, bank, tampon, Etc…)
To the left, the Microsoft Surface keyboard was enlarged and hand drawn on the wall, over that was a photojournalistic journey of the design process. Each photo was mounted on a wedge of white foam, one of the basic modeling tools of industrial design.

Li-Ning focused on consumer research.
Sirius focused on product prototyping.
Umpqua Bank focused on environment design.

At the far right, the sketch wall shows a complete set of technical drawings, models, user interface prototyping and concept sketches from an ongoing project arranged chronologically to guide the viewer through the flow of a project.

This barrel held over 1000 consumer research photos from Ziba's China trips, it was a repurposed concrete pouring tube. (made in-house).
This image of the rear side of the Umpqua Bank plinth describes the target market, and a short case study of the process Ziba used to guide Umpqua to the solution.
