El proyecto consistió en valerse de la caligrafía para conceptualizar una portada para el libro "Alicia en el País de las Maravillas" de Lewis Carroll.
El concepto rector fue el surrealismo que caracteriza a la historia, el cual se ve representado por las formas libres y difusas de fondo y por el manejo del color, ya que los tonos morados son estimulantes de la imaginación, la fantasía y el misterio.
Mediante el uso de un trazo básico de caligrafía se realizó la textura del fondo y posteriormente se le dio un efecto para aparentar el movimiento y lograr representar el momento de la historia en que Alicia va cayendo por la madriguera siendo el título del libro la representación de Alicia.
The purpose of this project was to design the cover for Carroll's book "Alice in Wonderland".
The story is part of surrealism so this was taken as the main concept for designing the cover. This can be shown in the free forms and colors that are used. Also, purple shades are known for stimulating the imagination, and representing fantasy and mystery.
The background texture was made by using basic calligraphic strokes and afterwards applying an effect to give an idea of movement and at the same time managing to represent the famous scene when Alice is falling down the rabbit hole. In this case Alice is represented by the title of the book.
