HotSpot, Floresta-Quito
Los puntos calientes o hotspots son áreas biogeográficas que concentran una gran variedad de biodiversidad y especies endémicas pero que a demás se han visto amenazadas por el desarrollo y la creciente actividad humana. En el planeta entero existen 36 hotspots y en Ecuador se encuentran algunos de los hotspots de biodiversidad más ricos del mundo, como la selva amazónica, las tierras altas andinas, los ecosistemas costeros de manglares y sus famosos bosques nubosos. A partir de estos conceptos nos inspiramos en el desarrollo de este mural
Hotspots are biogeographic areas that concentrate a great variety of biodiversity and endemic species but have also been threatened by development and increasing human activity. There are 36 hotspots on the entire planet and Ecuador is home to some of the richest biodiversity hotspots in the world, such as the Amazon rainforest, the Andean highlands, the coastal mangrove ecosystems and its famous cloud forests. From these concepts we were inspired to develop this mural.
