The Minotaur's Letters

The project is a multimedia collaboration rooted from the artwork and text by author and artist Andrzej Bednarczyk. The key components include a 1000-page richly illustrated book with carefully crafted packaging, an audiobook, an extensive augmented reality application activated by each of the 246 drawings showcased in the editorial piece, as well as two Spark AR filters for both the book and audiobook covers. The project also includes a web page, basic branding materials and promotional animations.

The book (Listy minotaura do zakażonych trans. The Minotaur's Letters to the Infected) is an embodiment of Pandora's box. It's mysterious exterior once lifted, reveals a cubic, three dimensional representation of a pixel. It is a fragment extracted from the intense magma of the world wide web, in which we are all interconnected. The denseness of the drawings, filled with equal amounts of drama and humor, set out to inflict confusion and fatigue upon the viewer.

The augmented reality application, available for download through the QR code on one of the first pages of the book, activates addition graphic and text contents on each illustration.
