2023 Pickle Open Disc Golf Logo

This is artwork for a local disc golf tournament I support and participate in every year.  This years design is a change from previous years as it is the "rebranding" of the pickle logo.  The last two years, I assisted with the design and used assets from previous decades.  I landed on this idea after brainstorming ideas with the tournament director.  The "O" in open was done to emulate the water trampoline at the Quarry Water Park which is at the same park that the tournament will be held.  This year will be the first year it is being held at this course, so we wanted to come up with something fresh to show this.

This is the original full color I did before adding the sponsors to the design.

This is the "hot stamp" version of the logo that was modified to include tournament sponsors since this would actually be imprinted on the discs given out at the tournament.

This is what the final negative image looks like after it's been hot stamped onto the disc.  These discs are given out to amateur players for signing up for the tournament.  Unfortunately the disc company restricts how large you can make the stamp due to the disc being curved.

I designed hot round pennant banners to hand out to players who shoot the lowest round of the day.  There are many different divisions both days, but only one person will get one in Saturdays group since there are no females signed up for Saturday, and two will be given out Sunday, one for the men, and one for the women.  I've see hot round items given out at other tournaments, but they never give out a ladies hot round so I'm trying to change the narrative.  Hopefully I can win my own creation this year!
