Gabrielle Zevin is a fiction novelist and screenplay writer. She recently published the 2022 New York Times Bestseller, “Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow.” Other well known books are Young Jane Young, The Storied Life of A.J. Fikry, and her children’s novel Elsewhere. 2014’s The Storied Life of A.J. Fikry earned the New York Times bestseller with a film adaptation in 2022.
The purpose of the website and mobile layouts is to promote Zevin’s written material and contact information. It acts as a direct source for clients or consumers to revisit and create a clear representation of the author.

Final Thoughts
The process behind redesigning an author’s website was a different task compared to the Chiyo Sungsud event project. Even though we had to establish an audience for both, as the designer, I had to get to know the author personally before making a style guide and sketches. The wireframes were the easier part of the brief because of designing a layout based on colors, inspiration, and final logo. If I had more time, I would redesign the logo to convey more of the author’s personality. Then I would apply patterns to the website background and add a few branding elements to the mobile page.
