The Stairway to Heaven is a challenging hike on the island of Oahu, Hawaii. The goal for this project, was to inspire people to come and hike it for themselves. People often see beautiful photos of the hikes amazing views, but it all seems mysterious until it is seen in real life. For this, I decided to make the poster mysterious and motivating.

A lot of different things went into the design process for this poster, such as, field sketches, rough ideas, research, and even a final physical poster made by hand. Through this process I found three of favorite designs that I wanted to advance into a bigger and more detailed rough.

I chose the final poster because of the Japanese Notan style that it follows, as it adds a lot to the overall design, but still remains simple and modern. I also added the phrase "just hike it," as it is very straightforward and motivating. All of the text is done in a Nike inspired font, as the phrase I used fits their brand image and is well suited for a poster sized project.
