Dust Jacket
The project aimed to design an aesthetically pleasing dust jacket, featuring an original book title and blurb. To enhance the viewer's understanding of the book genre, I incorporated relevant images that complemented the title.
Style Guide
In order to maintain a consistent design throughout, I followed a minimal style guide that focused on key elements. These elements were carefully selected to create a cohesive and visually appealing aesthetic for the dust jacket.
Layout
The dust jacket layout includes flaps on the sides that neatly tuck into the book, providing additional space for content. Furthermore, the design incorporates a dedicated section to highlight information about the author, allowing readers to learn more about the creative mind behind the book.
Mock-up
The final design presented in the mock-up showcases a textured background, intentionally creating a grainy effect that adds depth and visual interest. This textured backdrop allows the central image to stand out prominently, capturing the viewer's attention. The strategic use of red colour accents serves to emphasise the title, making it more eye-catching and engaging.
