Atlus
Atlus is a concept character I came up with to serve as the main protagonist of a RPG fantasy video game. This reference image is the final version I will be utilizing for sculpting in Blender and possibly rigging him either in 3DsMax or in Blender as well. Afterwards I will be texturing him in Substance painter before uploading him into Unreal engine where I will be able to test him out.
Atlus was born in a magical world with an adept skill for sorcery and then one day discovers an ancient cursed sword in some abandoned ruins.
 When grabbing the sword by its handle, the sword latches onto his arm and fill him with an unimaginable rage.
 This sword is destined to bring about the end of day and plans to use Atlus as its vessel. 
Atlus is able to fend off the rage and keep the curse at bay, but only if he is able to keep his emotions in check. Atlus is tasked with finding a way to remove the curse and ultimately saving his world. 
There were several inspirations for this character from various fantasy and media such as Final Fantasy, Xenoblade and even Cyberpunk 2077. The design for the sword and the way it attached itself to Atluses arm were also taken into account. I decided to stick with a more high fantasy theme instead of a futuristic one. This would be my first human character model and I wanted to stick closer to the more colorful and playful feel of my favorite games in the series Final Fantasy IX.
