Bringing Apple 'Aperture' to the web...
iSyndica was a cloud-based SaaS platform for professional content distribution (photo, video, audio). Over 10,000 users, over a million content items distributed to more than 50 stock agencies and social websites (Facebook, Flickr, Twitter, etc.).
Among many innovative designs (such as a mobile website and iPhone application), our flagship project was a web-based application in jQuery, AJAX and CSS 3.0 that replicated the core asset management functionalities of Apple's Aperture desktop application for not only photos, but also video, audio and vector art:
After early prototypes that looked absolutely identical to Aperture 2.0, we decided to go for something less 'blatantly copied' and came up with our own slick, user-friendly interface.
However proud we were of the technology, however, we never released "Exposure" to the public as we decided instead that iSyndica, as a business, wasn't really going anywhere and the company was closed.
