Saving Grace

Born in Barberton, Mpumalanga, Grace Mashaba was orphaned at four years old. Taken in by the family that stayed on the farm where her deceased mother used to work, Grace faced many challenges growing up. In addition to being treated like an outsider, she was sexually abused and tormented by her ‘adoptive’ father. With nowhere to go and no one to turn to, Grace was left with the only option of running away from home and being homeless. She would later become the guardian of women and children that were survivors of abuse, neglect, or human trafficking.
