Dramatic Learning - DCFTPA

Since its inception, the Denver Center for the Performing Arts (DCPA) has helped educators maximize the effectiveness of their curricula and ultimately enhance learning in their classrooms. Through its innovative Dramatic Learning program, the DCPA helps teachers apply the dramatic arts and foster a highly interactive educational environment.

By implementing the tenets of Dramatic Learning, teachers can help students learn about important principles in language arts, health, math, social studies, and science. Students have a unique opportunity to explore their own cultural heritages and connect them to the subjects taught in school. Dramatic Learning also stresses the importance of imaginative thinking and problem solving, which caters to a wide range of learning styles and encourages students to think both critically and creatively.

Every year, the DCPA educates over 50,000 students and produces 11 plays and 13 musicals. To learn more about Dramatic Learning or find out how to support the DCPA, visit the official website at DenverCenter.org.
