Autobiographic novel
This (auto/bio)graphic novel deals with the relationship with our domestic worker who came to be my and my brother's second mother. Having a live-in domestic worker who cleans, cooks and cares for their employers' children is quite a normal occurrence in Apartheid-influenced South Arica. The series of 17 short stories represents the 17 years that Mikie Keikantsemang Machogo worked for my parents and how it influenced me and my bother's childhoods.
The project was done for my MA in Visual Arts at the University of Stellenbosch and is currently still unpublished.
