An Art Direction project for ‘Angela Scanlon’s Ask Me Anything’ TV Show. The TV show required exciting key art for the new season. The brief asked that the campaign communicates that “watching the show is like a night out with friends”. We know that many in the audience love a night out when they get the chance or else have loved nights out in the past. They may have familial responsibilities or budgetary concerns that limit how frequently they can go ‘out out’. They are seeking light and fun entertainment from a Saturday night TV show, with a party atmosphere.

Concept: Party at Angela's

Watching Angela Scanlon’s Ask Me Anything is like a night out from the comfort of your sofa. What would a party that Angela throws potentially look like? We want to evoke a joyful, fun mood that feels aspirational yet relatable. We also want the campaign to have scroll-stopping abilities, where your eye is instantly drawn to the imagery.

Pop Culture references: Studio 54 timeless glamour and decadence, Modern It Girl who’s the life of the party, Mid century interiors Jonathan Adler, Palm Springs, Rock ‘n’ Roll country houses.

Colour Palette: Vivid, warm, fresh, modern with a dash of retro, inviting, friendly. We have the option of leaning into a sunset colour palette or night-time deeper colours.

Background imagery: Universal party-focused imagery that we can leverage in an aesthetically pleasing way e.g. disco balls, sparkles, rich colour, textures etc.

Talent: Angela Scanlon has a vibrant and energetic brand of her own. We want to capture that through the lens of a Saturday night. We imagine how she would be first up dancing with her pals, wearing a fabulous outfit.
