Even though New York City is probably the most culturally diverse city in the world,  there are still specific “micro-cultures” within the city that are separated by cultural hubs. These sub-groups are comprised of individuals from similar cultural backgrounds who gravitate towards a certain familiarity of “my people” culture. In this book I investigated the history and complexity of what means to be a “New Yorker” living in the “Melting Pot of the world”. What it means to integrate with the cultural ecosystem of each borough and neighbourhood.
