BCCI nervously waits for the fitness report of KL Rahul and Jaydev Unadkat after the LSG duo undergo scans
Both Captain Rohit Sharma and head coach Rahul Dravid are anxiously waiting on the fitness reports of KL Rahul and Jaydev Unadkat, as the duo suffered injuries in the ongoing season of the Indian Premier League 2023. On one hand, Unadkat suffered a freak training injury as he tripped while bowling, whereas on the other, KL Rahul pulled his hamstring while fielding. Both players have undergone scans. The BCCI and the Lucknow Super Giants are both anxiously waiting for the results.

With just over a month left before the finals of the World Test Championship, Team India is worried over the fitness of KL Rahul and Jaydev Unadkat. Rohit Sharma and his team have already been hit with an injury crisis, and the duo is the latest addition to the long list. Unadkat missed the last game, while KL Rahul did not field after his injury. Although KL Rahul came out to bat at the fall of the 9th wicket, he could not run and hence was not able to even open his account.

Krunal Pandya said at the post-match presentation that "it is a sad thing. Rahul pulled his hip flexor, I guess. I do not know how bad it is. The medical team will assess it."

According to ESPNCricinfo, Jaydev Unadkat had his arm in a sling with an ice pack on his left shoulder. It is learned that there is no dislocation and the left arm pacer will remain in Lucknow. LSG is in touch with the BCCI medical staff to determine the next course of action. Team India has until May 22 to name a replacement for the ruled-out players.
