Based on a conceptual business idea, Morning Peaches is a brunch oriented restaurant. While developing the logo my first instinct was to include an actual peach in it and design around that as my main focal point. I developed a couple variations that looked like solid ideas in a sketch but it didn't seem to work digitally.
Taking a more simplistic approach, I looked for typefaces with a modern feel but that still felt intriguing. While looking for variations of typefaces, I knew that I wanted to have contrast with each word. I focused my search to decorative and sans serif typefaces. Placement can get tricky with contrast in typefaces, to solve for those issues I stylized my typeface for a nice visual flow. I decided to incorporate orange/peach tones to satisfy that “morning sunrise” feel of the business.
