Being the capital of Vietnam, Hanoi shines brightly with its unique timeless beauty. Surpassing the time limit, Hanoi forever carries a rich history and culture in its soul. Despite the fast pace of the country’s modernization, Hanoi has never given up on protecting and preserving the city’s ancient sites and traditional culture, not only for its historical value, but also for its people. While travelling in Hanoi, everyone could feel the synthonization of the city and the people, all sharing the same friendliness, laid-backness, and welcoming. Moreover, all these traditional destinations saw the citizens’ childhood, capturing the city and people’ changes in time. Therefore, visiting Hanoi will give you an unique experience with its blend of modernity and tradition, as well as seeing the city’s everlasting memory.


Inspired by the long history of Hanoi culture, we have come up with focusing our campaign into the most well-known attractions of the city central of Vietnam as the big idea.

Experiential - Augmented Reality Advertising (ARA)
Located in the middle of Sword Lake, Turtle Tower has long become a familiar image to the people of Hanoi in particular and to Vietnamese people in general. Turtle Tower is a small tower located on an island mound in the middle of Sword Lake. According to historical records, the name Turtle Tower is because the tower was built on Turtle Island, a small mound floating in the middle of the lake, where Ho Guom turtles often come to bask in the sun or lay eggs. According to records, the tower was built during the reign of King Le Thanh Tong to serve as a place for the king to go fishing. In the Le Trung Hung period, around the 17th and 18th centuries, Lord Trinh built the Ta Vong communal house on the mound, but by the Nguyen Dynasty, it was no longer available. The architecture of the Tower is an interference between the Gothic style of Europe combined with the curved roof, keeping with Vietnamese architectural rules.

This Experiential Design is aimed at promoting the campaign Key Visual and telling the campaign story visually. We aim at creating App Filter that recognizes the shape of Turtle Tower from our Key Visual Design. Once it is scanned, Turtle Tower in 3D model will appear and float on the screen, acts as a button to attract audience to click on it, and lead to a page where the story begins.
