A tree shelters an inviting campfire who's sparks spit and dance into the evening twilight, giving the slight impression of fireflies. A cluster of stars and scudding clouds populate the sky.
Thoughts
Normally I create artworks with articles or goals in mind - it was lovely to be able to lean completely into the storytelling. Solving the problem of conveying the feeling of the story with brush marks and colours. I've also never tackled rendering fire before so it was a good challenge for me, I really enjoyed making the embers.
