This project was a study on the application of natural dyeing technique in contemporary fashion, specifically using plants derived colorants on natural textile: cotton, linen and silk. All dyestuffs are sourced in Vietnam:
• Terminalia catappa leaves yielded yellow shades and Eucalyptus camaldulensis leaves yielded off-white shades. Both are collected in the urban area of HCMC.
• Indigo dye of the Hmong people in Yen Bai yielded blue shades, which when over-dyed with Terminalia catappa resulted in green shades.
