American Idiot Show Poster

In March 2015, Topher Rhys of glory|struck productions contacted me to design a poster and window card for their production of Green Day's American Idiot musical. As a longtime fan of the band and musicals in general, I was very excited to take the project on—so much that I knocked out a quick sketch of an idea in the few minutes between getting the email and our first meeting.

I love using analog media for my designs, and this piece was no different. I spent a day with a professional photographer creating spray paint splatters and drips to use in the piece. It was so successful that I still use this process to create grunge and paint textures for projects that require them.

The company was thrilled with the design, and the show was fantastic. This project was the last time I worked in print, and I couldn't have been happier with how it went.
