Rossini's Armida Set Models: A New York City Adaptation

An adaptation of Armida:
Images below illustrates orignal set designs for an adaptation of Gioachino Rossini's three act opera "Armida" taking place in a New York City inspired setting.  Each location was specifically picked to enhance the celebrated numbers through out this enchanting libretto, where the role of paladins are represented through the hiarchy of stock brokers, sewers take on the role of demons, and Armida's spirits are illustrated as a combinations of the many wonders found in the Brooklyn Botanical Garden.
