UX/UI - Optus careers page

Optus Careers page project
Context
Optus currently have a careers page with a search compnent, taking candidates away from the site to view their job list results via their external business Singtel. Optus wants to keep their customers within their own site and need a new way to show job results and job descriptions internally.

Problem
- Customers are confused when being directed to singtel portal creating an extra effort to re-search for the job they already searched on Optus website.
- The sign up process creates a bad experience for new applicants as they lose all previous search once creating an account and signing in.
- Optus have no internal job search capability and will still need to use the Singtel Portal to showcase job listings.
- Singtel’s Job list results portal UX/UI design is not user friendly and does not meet best practice techniques.
- There are limited filtering options to help refine candidates keyword job search.

Objective
- Find an MVP solution on current components to use are filtering to still produce a good customer experience.
- Create a good customer experience with the right UI design to refine job search results list are very refined to the candidates search.
- Run a quick IA session to understand the types of filters that are required to help customers refine their job search results.
- Understanding and utilising the new careers chatbox which will help keep customers on Optus when singing up during the application process.

Challenges
- Current Singtel back end code which we need to use to the API to pull information from are limited in the segments that are provided to implement a good filtering system.
- Modern filtering UI can’t be implemented as DEV requirements are large and there is no time/budget.
