Guns n' Roses in Tokyo
The city is a dangerous place, even for monsters.
I accepted the March challenge of CriAtivo, a project that aims to encourage the creativity of illustrators, through thematic briefings.
Briefing: pick a hard rock band of 80’s and make a gig poster inspired by a song from this band. The poster must contain the venue and date of the band’s concert, but must not mention the chosen music.
I chose Welcome To The Jungle, from Guns N’ Roses. The song has a tone of chaos, showing how a big city can offer pleasures and dangers. For the venue, I chose Tokyo Dome and played with the classic japanese monsters histories, like Godzilla (Gojira).
