Took a trip to Taipei, Taiwan during Chinese New Year and ran wild with a GoPro Hero 3 HD Black.
City Hall during the first day of Chinese New Year.
Chang Kai Shek Memorial, huge area surrounded by 3 important buildings. I was also told that this area was filled to the brim with thousands of Taiwanese last year when they were protesting about compulsory Military service after a soldier died.
Front view of C.K.S Memorial.
Believe it or not, this is part of a University, nice place for the kids to play.
University Grounds.
228 Peace Memorial Park. A Park to honour the fallen during the darker days of Taiwan's history.
Plenty of locals were gunned down by Government forces for protesting against the Government.
The other end of 228 Peace Park. Apparently some locals say there was a mystical creature spotted here once and they believe it lives deep below where nobody can see it.
RaoHe Street, easily the best place to get Taiwanese Street Food.
It's a place highly recommended by the locals.
The famous Taipei 101, one of the tallest buildings in the World.
Tamsui Beach, beautiful place to catch the sunset.
Best part is, I got off the metro (MRT) and walked about 5 minutes right into this.
1st day of Chinese New Year and I was blessed to have a local friend, his mum and another friend of his bring me to one of the temples to observe how they celebrate it.

Taipei

I went to Taipei, Taiwan on a very last-minute, impulsive trip during the Chinese New Year holidays. Let's just say I was pretty surprised.
