A mobile interpretation of the traditional printed recipe book.
I worked as the Lead UX on this project to deliver Fully annotated wireframes for the initial iPhone app: "Primrose Bakery Cupcake and Cake Recipes". The framework of the app had to follow closely the sister iPhone app "My Kitchen Table", and some updates on the wireframes were made by Matt Homer and Judit Layana.
The final UI was created by Alex Lambert and David Fox was the Lead iOS Developer.
The app features 70 recipes that take advantage of the wonderful photography in the book that really entice users. It has a shopping list and favourites feature to allow users to personalise their app, including being able to add their own ingredients.
The app uses a ‘”Touch Free” technology , air-gestures to navigate through the recipe steps, perfect for messy bakers.
To make the recipes even easier there are a number of tips and techniques including videos such as ‘How to Ice a Cupcake’. It provides inspiration with a ‘Goes Well With’ feature and an easy search function. The app has been getting 5 star ratings from consumers and great reviews.
Listed on the app store as new & noteworthy, number one grossing lifestyle app, number two paid lifestyle app and number 28 overall paid app.
