 Kottbusser Tor is my one of my local stations in Berlin and probably one of the least desirable places I like to be in the world. Getting off the bahnhof and seeing this horribly misplaced human being placed in the middle of the grass was both beautifully composed and yet tragic. It has become the norm to accept this kind of image in Berlin, where it is often the better option to avoid such scenes by turning a blind eye. Ironically the composition is set on an island with beautiful wild flowers, butterflies and woven with used needles & metal foil (used for smoking heroin).
