Axel Oxenstierna – the legal guardian of Queen Kristina, in 16th century Sweden – is the main character of this humorous play by the theatre group Toddyspexarna. Oxenstierna’s plotting against the queen and her throne is a central part of a plot itself, and the rivalry is almost like a game (of cards!). The illustrative poster is meant to work with both sides up, and can in that way hint of a two sided fight as well as functioning as traditional marketing.

An example of use, where you can choose which character to front, without affecting the readability or the design.

For social media marketing my role was to make the poster suitable for being used as a cover photo by the over 100 members of the production. With a different format, some details had to be changed or moved, but the illustration still kept its main focus – the rivalry between Oxenstierna and the queen.

Toddyspexarna sells many of their tickets through facebook events, and therefore needed the poster in yet another format. Here it is as a Facebook event banner.
