Who Says? - Online Salad Ordering App | UX/UI Case Study
Design Brief + Rational
This brief was given as part of an assignment for the introductory IxD course I did for my bachelor's degree.

The design brief was to develop a mobile app prototype for an order-online, healthy-fast-food business. Our target audience was represented by a range of different personas with various needs, including vegan, young adults, ethical foods, gluten free, visually impared, small/large portion sizes, and gym junkies.

The concept of the business has been realised through allowing customisation and clear information on food provenance. As shown in the prototype, a large part of the design is focused on the step-by-step salad customisation to ensure all persona needs are included. To emphasise the “ethical fast food” part of the concept, I have included a link in the home page to allow users to learn about the story behind Who Says. In addition to this, supply origins are clearly displayed inside the details page of each ingredient, with also a link for further information. These design decisions fit with the brand identity, as they enable the users to clearly see that Who Says care about customer needs and sustainability.

Limitations and future iterations
I recognise that there are a few limitations in the current iteration of the prototype. Based on user testing and feedback, I have identified many opportunies for improvement, such as better orientation features to show users a summary of their current selection, and to incorporate realistic pricing features for each step. Further iterations will be updated in the page in the future.
