HACKATHON: Redesigning an edtech website

This is the old website of the edtech startup formerly known as Your Guide Tutorials and Services, now rebranded as CAIUO: https://yourguide-tutorialsandservices.mystrikingly.com/. The website appears to be outdated and lacking in user-friendly features, which is why each hackathon team was tasked to redesign it and improve its functionality.
We understand that education encompasses a wide range of subjects and levels. That's why we offer tutees the ability to personalize their experience by creating an account on our platform. By filling out information about their education level and preferred subjects, our platform can suggest the best tutors to match their needs. This feature saves tutees time and effort by narrowing down the options and providing them with the most relevant tutor suggestions.

Another feature is the leaderboard system, which displays the top learners on our platform. This allows tutees to track their progress and see how they stack up against their peers, fostering healthy competition and motivation to excel.

In addition to the leaderboard, we also offer a messaging system that allows tutees to communicate with both their fellow tutees and their tutors. This feature facilitates collaboration and the sharing of knowledge, enabling tutees to learn from each other and build a community of learners.

Finally, our platform also includes a scheduling system that allows tutees to book and view the details of their upcoming tutorship sessions.
As an edtech startup, it is important for CAIUO to generate revenue to sustain its operations and continue providing valuable educational resources to users. One way we plan to do this is by placing ads on their website.
To ensure that these ads do not negatively impact the user experience, we have strategically placed them in between the list of available tutors. This placement allows users to easily scroll past the ads without disrupting their search for the ideal tutor.
To enhance transparency and promote trust, it offers tutees the ability to view the profiles of our network of tutors. This feature allows tutees to access information about the tutor's experience and education history, helping them determine if the tutor is credible to teach a particular subject.
Our redesigned website provides students with the ability to track their progress and view their achievements within the platform. Additionally, they can showcase their certificates on their LinkedIn profiles to demonstrate their skills to potential employers.

To further enhance our platform, we have a project idea to expand our network of tutors. Our goal is to provide students with access to a wide range of tutors, who can offer personalized learning experiences to help them reach their full potential. By hiring more tutors, we can offer a more diverse range of subject matter expertise and help students achieve their academic goals.
To ensure the quality of our tutor pool, we have implemented a rigorous application process that includes the submission of important documents.
Prospective tutors are required to upload their recent CV, government ID, and a selfie as part of the application process. This information helps us verify the identity and credentials of each tutor, ensuring that only qualified individuals are approved to join our platform.
