The Kabir Project

In March 2022, I got the opportunity to do set design and production for annual event of Srishti Institute of Art Design and technology. Being a part of this amazing team my major focus was to work with the expert Shabnam Virmani and Prashant Pravatneni to design for the Kabir Project event that was to take place. It was an invocation for the Srishti alumni and also for the new foundation batch to come and know about the college. There were two mandalis who were gonna perform and being hosted by Shabnam and Prashant.
The decor of the area or the installation was done with white paper cranes which were symbol for Kabir's metaphor of how all of us are hans in this world and we all need to fly away and his dohas which were conveying the similar message.
We made 3000 paper cranes within a span of 3 weeks to create a feeling of being in a surreal and calming space just like the effect that Kabir's dohas have on people.
We did it in a group of six people namely Tanaya Deo, Manaswee Jain, Ayush Mayank, Manvi Jain and Aarshi Jain.
We were guided by our talented faculty Meghana Singh, Ninad Koranne , Samir Parker, Manoj Dangoria

The process of making 3000 swans which were categorized into different sizes.
Joining the swans by sticking them to a fish net wire and then hanging them through the ceiling by using fishing hooks and the already available punctures in the beam of the ceiling.
The Amazing team that pulled the event.
