For the Enterprise & Entrepreneurship module of my Motion Graphics course, the group I was in had to create a business of sorts and sell a certain product during a market festival event that would be held in the college. Seeing as how drugs or prostitutes were not practical products to sell in the market, the group and I chose to sell muffins, and we decided to conduct a marketing strategy involving cute drawn muffin characters to advertise our muffin selling establishment. I was put in charge of creating the brand design for our muffin establishment, which we have dubbed muffin?
Initial Sketches
The initial sketches for the muffin? characters. For the overall look of the design, I chose to adopt a cute look for the muffin designs by giving them eyes and a mouth to make them look more alive and cartoony. For tha art style I tried to make the muffins look as cute as possible, I believe the Japanese call said art style "Kawaii" (i.e. extremely cute)

The Final Logo for the muffin? establishment. The logo type is arial rounded bold, it shows a soft text so that it would be in sync with the softness of the muffin. The muffin has flat colors to show a sense of cuteness and the less detail the better I'd say.

In addition, I decided to draw each individual member of the group as a muffin for a bit of fun, and to show a sense of consistency using the top muffin as a default template layer and placed each group members own individual characteristics onto the muffin.

I also designed a poster to be placed around the college to promote our muffin establishment. Hopefully people will understand that the muffin men are here to cater for their needs by offering adorable muffins for them to eat.

The group and I decided that we needed a promotional video to be played in the monitors around the college, perhaps to create some viral advertising. So another member of the group and I created an animation to promote our muffins. For that I separated all the layers and background elements from the poster I created and gave it to my colleague so that he would animate the video, with some animation direction from me.
