THE BACKSTORY
Chris Beaty, a whiskey enthusiast from Omaha, NE, came to me to revamp the current logo of his basement bar, The Buttery. His previous logo was outdated and he wanted to incorporate a jackalope into the new design.

THE CREATIVE PROCESS
He sent me images of his English style prohibition era themed bar, a taxidermy jackalope he owned, and his current logo. The basement bar does a great job telling a very specific story about history to its guests, but the logo didn’t match the experience.

THE OUTCOME
The depth of the thought put into the rabbit character and the addition of Chris’s suggestion of emphasizing the “Butt” in “Buttery” gives this logo humor, personality, and charm. It is an adaptable layout which will allow for the imagery and name to be used on cups, coasters, signs, homemade brew bottles, and more.
