I helped illustrate this poster for the 2013 Loppet Cross Country Ski Festival while working at Duffy & Partners. My vision for this piece was to give the nostalgic feel of old art deco travel posters, being that the Loppet is a classic winter event in Minneapolis. This event is unique because of it's urban setting. It draws in a large crowd with events such as ice biking, skijoring, classic and freestyle cross country skiing, along with a snow sculpture and luminary event.
The final piece is 4 color, 24in x 36in large and printed on French Poptone recycled 100# cover stock. We printed an edition of 100.
Carly Wright and I collaborated for the 2014 Loppet Cross Country Ski Festival Poster while working at Duffy & Partners. We decided that we wanted to show a map-like view of the all the events that take place at the festival as well as some iconic Minneapolis landmarks. The art was kept simple and stylized so elements could be used across different applications for the event.
